DCCCA is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new flagship facility in Lawrence, the DCCCA Service Center. The agency held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The DCCCA Service Center is set to house a comprehensive array of DCCCA programs, reflecting the organization’s commitment to serving the Lawrence/Douglas County community. Among the services offered are Behavioral Health Outpatient Services, Family Preservation Services, Prevention Services, and Fostering/Adopting Services.
“This celebration highlights our growth as an agency and provides a new chapter for DCCCA as we embark on our 50th anniversary in 2024,” DCCCA CEO Lori Alvarado said. “It fulfills a goal of upgrading our facilities for staff to thrive and help improve the lives of those we serve.”
The DCCCA Service Center is adjacent to the current DCCCA Lawrence Outpatient building located at 1739 East 23rd Street. The project is in partnership with Bartlett & West and BHS Construction.
