DCCCA will soon have a new home in East Lawrence as the DCCCA Services Building officially broke ground on Thursday, July 7, 2022. This facility will include a variety of DCCCA programs, including: Behavioral Health Outpatient Services, Family Preservation Services, Prevention Services and Foster Parent/Adoption Services. Construction will begin later this month and the estimated completion date will occur in 2023.
“This is an exciting building project that demonstrates our commitment to providing quality services for clients in the Lawrence/Douglas County community,” DCCCA CEO Lori Alvarado said. “We are proud to highlight our growth as an agency.”
The DCCCA Services Building will be built adjacent to the current DCCCA Lawrence Outpatient location at 1739 East 23rd Street. The project is in partnership with Bartlett & West and BHS Construction.
