*** PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE LAWRENCE ADIS CLASS IS SPLIT INTO TWO 4-HOUR SESSIONS (8 HOURS TOTAL), WHICH OCCUR ON CONSECUTIVE SATURDAYS. THE FIRST PART OF THE CLASS WILL OCCUR ON THE DATE FOR WHICH YOU ARE REGISTERING. THE SECOND PART OF THE CLASS WILL OCCUR ON THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY ***
The class will be held from 9 am to 1 pm on consecutive Saturdays (see calendar or registration confirmation for verification of dates). One payment will allow the participant to have access for both sessions.
DCCCA’s Alcohol and Drug Information School (ADIS) addresses the consequences of alcohol and drug misuse and fulfills the first time DUI offense requirement for the state of Kansas. This 8-hour class is completed in two days and is held monthly. Topics include: short-term and long-term consequences of various substances, blood alcohol content (BAC) levels, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and the science behind the effects of cannabis.
This class will be on Zoom and participants must be able to participate with webcam and microphone, including polls, discussions, watching videos, and complete a course evaluation.
