In an inspiring move towards community support, Sticky Bird, a beloved Wichita restaurant franchise, has announced its partnership with DCCCA, a non-profit agency dedicated to providing addiction treatment and recovery services. This collaboration seeks to bring hope and nourishment to the men and women who rely on DCCCA’s essential programs to overcome addiction.
A Feast of Generosity
Sticky Bird demonstrated its commitment to support organizations treating those seeking help from addiction by donating $1,985.51 to DCCCA in September and pledged to contribute 1% of all sales to recovery centers that provide treatment to those battling addiction in Wichita. The partnership is set to enhance the quality of life for individuals on their path to recovery and empower them with the necessary tools to rebuild their lives.
DCCCA Behavioral Health Manager, Donna Gorman, expressed her gratitude for the partnership, stating, “We are so grateful for this partnership with Sticky Bird and their generosity to provide meals for our clients and their families as we celebrated National Recovery Month in September. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with Sticky Bird, working together on other ways to support recovery in the Wichita community.”
A Beacon of Hope: DCCCA’s Mission
DCCCA’s mission is to provide social and community services that improve the safety, health, and well-being of the people they serve. The Women’s Recovery Center and Options Adult Services have been instrumental in helping women and men overcome addiction for more than 30 years.
One of the remarkable aspects of DCCCA’s Women’s Recovery Center is its fully licensed daycare center, situated on-site. This innovative approach allows mothers to reside with their children during their treatment, eliminating the barrier that often prevents women from seeking help due to the unavailability of childcare. Notably, the center provides childcare services not only during residential treatment but also during outpatient services and beyond the completion of the treatment program.
Both the Women’s Recovery Center and Options Adult Services offer a comprehensive range of services, including outpatient and residential treatment programs, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and case management services. These services extend to providing essential assistance for needs such as housing and medication, both during and after the treatment.
A Lasting Impact
The ongoing relationship between these two organizations promises a brighter future for the Wichita community and underscores the power of collaboration in the pursuit of recovery and hope.
Sticky Bird and DCCCA’s shared mission are a testament to the potential for positive change when the community rallies behind those in need. Together, they are proving that recovery is not just possible—it’s a journey that can be supported and nourished by the kindness and generosity of the community.
