The Kansas Communities That Care (KCTC) youth survey is administered annually free of charge to schools in the state of Kansas. It tracks teen use of harmful substances and provides a baseline for teen usage, the perception of attitudes and provides a measurable level of risk and protective factors that influence behavior, attitudes, and opinions of Kansas teens. This module covers the features and functions of the KCTC Youth Survey.
E-CIGARETTES, VAPING, AND TEENS
This module reviews what e-cigarettes are, what vaping is and how they affect the teenage brain and body. It also reviews current national regulation around distribution and usage of e-cigarettes.
PROBLEM GAMBLING: WHAT COMMUNITIES NEED TO KNOW

STRATEGIC PREVENTION FRAMEWORK OVERVIEW
This is an introduction to the entire SPF process and a brief overview of each step.
ASSESSMENT
In the first step of the SPF process, data is collected to define problems, resources, and readiness to address identified problems. This module covers assessment and what it encompasses.
CAPACITY
Step 2 of the SPF helps prevention professionals identify resources and build readiness to address substance use and misuse. This module covers the components of capacity and offers tips on how your coalition can build it.
PLANNING
Step 3 of the SPF helps prevention professionals form a plan for addressing priority problems and achieving prevention goals. This module outlines the planning process and how it impacts your coalition’s efforts.
IMPLEMENTATION
During the implementation step, coalitions put their strategic prevention plans into action by delivering their selected, evidence-based interventions. This module includes information about and guidance for the implementation process.

The evaluation step of the SPF quantifies the challenges and successes of implementing a prevention program. This module covers the evaluation process.
